Joseph Beryl Blankenship 1941 - 2000

Services for Joseph Beryl Blankenship, 58, Memphis, Tenn., are 10 a.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Ada, Okla., the Revs. James White and Mick Snider officiating.  Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada, Okla.  Disabled American Veterans Chapter 85, Oklahoma City, will conduct military honors.
Mr. Blankenship died April 12, 2000, at a Memphis, Tenn., hospital.  He was born Nov. 22, 1941, at Weslaco, Texas, to Roy and Edna Durham Blankenship.
He graduated from Ada High School in 1960.  He attended electronics school and received his FCC radio telephone operators license in 1985.  He owned and operated Mid-Plains Resources.  He was a member of Raleigh First Assembly of God Church in Memphis  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Memphis and was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a Shriner and an active member of the director's staff.  He served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1963 as an aviation machinist mate.
He married Ginger Drennan in May 1965.  She died May 31, 1976, in Memphis.
Survivors include his mother, Edna Blankenship;  three sisters, Ruth Sutton, Ada, Okla., Naomi White, Stillwell, Okla., and Liz Thornton, Burleson, Texas.
