Sapulpa — Funeral services for Joyce Yvone Sullivan, 67, Tulsa, were held at 10 a.m. today at Canyon Baptist Church in Sapulpa. Rev. Mike Peters offiated.
Burial followed at Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. Ms. Sullivan died Tuesday, June 15 at her home.
Ms. Sullivan was born Sept. 26, 1942 in Oklahoma City, to Mary Lee (Robertson) and Edsel Mears Evans. She graduated from Ada High School May 26, 1960 and resided in Ada until 1987. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Chase Sullivan.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Sullivan of Sapulpa; daughter, Melissa Henry of Sapulpa; son Steve Henry of Ada; son Brent Henry and wife Mandi, Ada; Darren Henry “Moose” and wife Shelley, Ada, son Richard Sullivan and wife Sam of Owasso, daughter Vicki Miller and husband Larry of Phoenix, Ariz. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ryan Henry, Morgan Henry, Raegan Henry, Clayton Henry, and Ashley Sullivan; two brothers, Jack Evans, Fort Worth, Texas, and Billy Dodd and wife Cynthia of Houston, Texas.
She was employed by the Sapulpa Public School system for more than 20 years as a librarian.
Books will be purchased in her memory and the library will be known as “The Joyce Sullivan Memorial Library."
Bearers were Tom Walsh, Gary Lake, Steve Smith, Richard Sullivan, Lonnie Sullivan and Jim Calvert.
